Fishing for Freedom
One of the year’s highlights was the 2024 Fishing for Freedom event, where we celebrated another successful year of bringing together veterans and boaters. The addition of the new 5-fish format added an exciting twist, and the community responded with incredible enthusiasm. Congratulations to Paul Stokes and Matthew Coronado for taking the win this year! The event also saw an amazing show of support from our sponsors, including Lowrance, who generously donated an HDS PRO 10 as a boater incentive.

This year marked a significant milestone for the Force on Force TV Show as we stepped outside the borders of Texas for the first time to film in Florida. This journey was more than just a change of scenery; it became a powerful backdrop for our Military Moment, reflecting the experience of service members leaving home for the first time. The Florida landscape, with its unique fishing opportunities and challenges, paralleled the emotions of stepping into the unknown—leaving the familiar behind to embrace new responsibilities and adventures. Through this setting, we were able to highlight the courage, resilience, and adaptability that define our military community, creating an episode that resonates deeply with the personal journeys of so many who serve.
Events Across the Nation
2024 was a landmark year for ArmyBassAnglers as we made our presence felt at some of the biggest events in the fishing world. Among the highlights were our involvement in the Bassmaster Classic and Major League Fishing (MLF) Redcrest. These prestigious events not only showcased the passion of anglers nationwide but also provided incredible opportunities for ArmyBassAnglers to connect with fans and spread our mission.
At MLF Redcrest, we were proud to host the Kids Zone, where young anglers had the chance to reel in unforgettable memories. Our team set up a dedicated area that included hands-on activities, educational stations, and, of course, fishing fun! The excitement on their faces reminded us why we invest in the next generation of anglers, fostering a love for the sport and a respect for the great outdoors.
Both events allowed us to share the ArmyBassAnglers story with a wider audience, collaborate with industry leaders, and inspire future champions of fishing. These moments reinforced our commitment to being a pillar in the fishing community, honoring the sport’s heritage while paving the way for its future.
Expanding Our Reach
2024 was a year of meaningful growth for ArmyBassAnglers, not only in visibility and partnerships but also in our commitment to giving back. This year, we were honored to strengthen our relationship with Folds of Honor, supporting their mission to provide educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members. Through collaborative charity events, we were able to contribute to a cause that holds a deep connection to our core values, ensuring the legacies of our nation’s heroes endure.
We also proudly participated in the Texas Oilman’s Bass Invitational (TOBI), an event benefiting the Texas Children’s Hospital Renal Unit. Supporting TOBI allowed us to combine our love for fishing with a powerful cause, helping provide critical care and resources for children battling renal conditions. Our involvement included assisting with tournament efforts and spreading awareness for this vital mission. Being part of an event that unites the fishing and energy industries for such a meaningful purpose was both inspiring and humbling.
These partnerships reflect our steadfast dedication to supporting communities, honoring service, and leveraging the platform of ArmyBassAnglers to make a positive impact. As we move forward, we’re committed to growing these efforts and finding new ways to support the causes closest to our hearts.
West Point College Fishing Team
This year, we were honored to collaborate with the West Point College Fishing Team, a group of dedicated cadets who embody the perfect blend of academic excellence, military discipline, and a passion for fishing. Working alongside these future leaders was an inspiring experience as we shared techniques, swapped stories, and deepened our shared love for the sport. The partnership provided a unique opportunity to mentor and support the next generation of anglers while reinforcing the values of teamwork, perseverance, and strategic thinking that fishing and military service share. Watching these cadets excel both on and off the water was a testament to their commitment and the bright future they hold as both anglers and leaders in the Armed Forces.
